DRAMA is the multicultural duo of producer Na’el Shehade and vocalist Via Rosa, known for their unique blend of Chicago house, R&B, soul, and dance-pop. Their music lives in the tension between heartbreak and euphoria, a sound they call “lovesick.” Rosa grew up touring with her parents’ reggae band, drawing inspiration from Sade, Afrobeat, and Brazilian rhythms, before writing and producing as a teenager and joining Chicago’s hip-hop collective THEMPeople. Shehade, a Chicago native and son of immigrant parents, was shaped by the city’s DJ culture and became a producer and engineer, working with Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, and Gorgon City.
Since forming over a decade ago, DRAMA has released acclaimed projects including Gallows (2016), Lies After Love (2018), and Till We Die (2023), featuring Flight Facilities, as well as Dance Without Me (2020). They’ve played Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, building a devoted global fan base. In early 2026, they released their third album, Platonic Romance, and headlined their biggest tour to date, selling out shows across North America, including The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Now, DRAMA is deepening the world around the music with [DRAMA CLUB], home to their dance and house-leaning material. This fall, they’re opening for Sofi Tukker and celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Gallows, a body of work that has stood the test of time. In the new year, they’ll head abroad to Europe, the UK, and Australia.
